This policy explains what personal information Game Print NZ collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We've tried to write it in plain English rather than legal boilerplate.
We're a New Zealand business and we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020.
If you have any questions about anything here, email casey@gameprint.nz.
Game Print NZ manufactures card games, trading card games and tabletop games. We're based in New Zealand and work with creators, studios and publishers across New Zealand and Australia.
Our website is www.gameprint.nz.
Information you give us directly. When you fill in our contact form, you provide your name, email address and whatever you write in the message field. If you email us or talk to us about a project, we keep that correspondence and any details you share about your game — card counts, sizes, quantities, artwork files and so on.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, which pages you looked at, how long you stayed, and which site or search you arrived from.
What we don't collect. We don't take payment details through this website. We don't ask for, and don't want, sensitive personal information — health information, government identifiers, or anything of that nature.
We use your information to:
We won't use your information for anything unrelated to these purposes without asking you first.
Our website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — which pages get read, how people arrive, and where they drop off. This is aggregate reporting; we're not trying to identify individual visitors.
Google Analytics sets cookies on your device and collects usage data. That data is processed by Google, which means it's stored and handled outside New Zealand.
If you'd rather not be measured, you have options:
Turning off cookies won't stop you using the site or contacting us.
We may advertise Game Print NZ using Google Ads, including remarketing — showing our ads to people who have previously visited our website.
The disclosures below are required for advertising of this kind:
You can opt out of personalised advertising:
Opting out doesn't mean you'll stop seeing ads — it means the ads you see won't be personalised based on your browsing.
We don't sell your personal information. We don't trade it or give it away for marketing.
We do share information with the service providers we need to run the business:
| Who | What for |
|---|---|
| Webflow | Hosts our website and stores contact form submissions |
| Analytics, and advertising if we're running campaigns | |
| Our email provider | Receiving and sending correspondence |
| Freight and courier companies | Delivery address details, so we can ship your order |
| Our accountant | Invoicing and statutory record keeping |
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it's necessary to protect someone's safety.
Production stays with us. We manufacture in New Zealand, so your artwork and game files aren't sent to an overseas factory.
Some of the providers above — Webflow and Google in particular — store data on servers outside New Zealand, mainly in the United States.
Under the Privacy Act 2020 we need to tell you this. These are established providers who are contractually required to protect personal information to standards comparable to New Zealand's. But once information is held overseas it may be subject to the laws of that country, and we can't control that.
If this concerns you, contact us by email instead of using the website form.
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:
Email casey@gameprint.nz and we'll respond within 20 working days, which is the timeframe the Act sets. We won't charge you for a reasonable request.
We use reputable hosting and email providers, keep access limited to people who need it, and don't retain information longer than we need to.
No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee against every possible breach — but if one occurs that could cause you serious harm, we'll notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as the Act requires.
We work with creators in Australia and further afield. If you're outside New Zealand, your information will be handled under this policy and New Zealand law. Australian visitors are also covered by the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to our handling of your information.
Talk to us first — email casey@gameprint.nz and we'll try to sort it out directly.
If you're not satisfied with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner:
We'll update this page when our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when it last changed. If we make a significant change affecting how we use information you've already given us, we'll let you know directly.
