Trading Card & TCG Printing in New Zealand

Custom trading cards, printed and finished here — not shipped in from an overseas factory.

Whether you're building a trading card game with its own stat system, producing player cards for a sports club, or printing a collectible set for a launch, we manufacture the whole thing in New Zealand. That means you can hold a sample in days rather than months, talk to the person running the job, and skip sea freight and customs entirely.

What we print

Work we've printed

Mana Masters trading card game printed in New Zealand, with rigid presentation box, tuck box and stat cards

Mana Masters — Card Game Crafter

A stat-based trading card game where every card carries four rated attributes, full-bleed character artwork and a heavy foil-look title banner. Produced with a rigid two-piece presentation box and a slimline tuck box for the deck itself — the setup you'd use for a collector's edition alongside a standard retail version.

A good example of what's possible when a game needs to look premium on a shelf and survive repeated play.

Custom softball club player trading cards printed for Eden Roskill, showing photo fronts and stats backs

Eden Roskill Softball — club player cards

Double-sided player cards for the U12 Rascals and Div 3 Flava teams. Action photography on the front with squad number and season, and a stats panel on the reverse covering throwing and batting hand, position, season highlights and a personal fun fact.

Short-run club work like this is exactly the kind of job overseas factories won't quote on. We will.

Popcorn Pizza Cat 60-card game with printed tuck box and colour-coded cards

Popcorn Pizza Cat

A 60-card retail family game with dual-ended card faces so the card reads correctly whichever way a player picks it up, colour-coded borders by card type, and a printed tuck box with the full rules summary on the reverse.

Retail-ready: cards, box, rules panel and finishing, all in one run.

Play Learn Grow Cards educational deck with printed tuck box, made for bringing learning home

Play Learn Grow Cards — bringing learning home

A 40+ card educational deck for ages 2–4, colour-banded by activity type so parents can find what they need fast. Supplied in a printed tuck box with a matching outer sleeve.

Proof that card printing isn't only games — decks work brilliantly as products in their own right.

Specifications

Card sizes. Standard poker (63.5 × 88.9 mm) and bridge (57 × 89 mm), plus custom sizes and tarot format if your design calls for it.

Card stock. Most decks run on 300gsm. Black core is available where you need opacity — essential for any game where a card held up to the light could reveal itself.

Finishes. Linen texture for shuffle feel and glare reduction, smooth matt, or gloss. Rounded corners as standard.

Packaging. Printed tuck boxes, rigid two-piece boxes, shrink wrap, and full assembly if your product includes boards, tokens or a rulebook.

Not sure what to pick? Tell us how the game will be played — how much shuffling, how much handling, whether it lives in a bag or on a shelf — and we'll recommend the stock.

Minimums and turnaround

We're indie-friendly. We print single prototype decks for playtesting right through to full production runs, and we'll tell you honestly where the cost breaks fall so you can choose a quantity that makes sense.

Most card orders take 7–14 working days once artwork is approved. You'll get a clear timeline before we start.

Compare that with the usual offshore route: a 500–1,500 unit minimum, three to six months of production, then thirty to sixty days on a ship, plus customs. For a first print run or a Kickstarter fulfilling to New Zealand and Australian backers, local manufacturing is usually faster and less risky, even where the per-unit price is higher.

Artwork

You don't need print-ready files to start a conversation. We check artwork, flag bleed and safe-zone problems, and help get files press-ready — this is one of the most common things we help with, and it's not a hassle.

If you already have a template you're working to, send it through and we'll confirm it against our specs before anything goes on press.

Frequently asked questions

Can you print a single deck for playtesting?

Yes. Prototype runs are a normal part of what we do, and we'd rather you test a real deck than commit to a full run on a guess.

Do you do foil, holographic or special finishes?

Tell us what you're after and we'll advise on what's achievable in the run size and budget you have.

Can you do booster packs with randomised contents?

Yes — talk to us early about it, because randomisation affects how we set up collation.

Do you ship to Australia?

Yes. We regularly work with Australian creators and can organise freight based on your order size.

Who owns the artwork?

You do. We print it; we don't claim any rights over your game or your files.
